What to Expect

How should I dress?
You will find that the community of Ewing – Covenant Presbyterian Church is comfortable dressing in many different ways. Some people come dressed in their Sunday best, others business casual, and some in jeans. We welcome you however you feel most comfortable.

Where should I park and where do I enter the building?
When you arrive at Ewing – Covenant Presbyterian Church, follow the signs that say “church parking” to either of our lots; handicap parking is in the front circle drive near the entrance. Once you park, walk towards the center building, and enter where the white columns and Ewing banner are located.

Handicap accessible parking is located in the front circular driveway, and an elevator is located inside the foyer for entrance to worship.

What is the worship service like?
Our service is based on the traditional Presbyterian liturgy with an emphasis on proclaiming
God’s word in scripture, sermon, and music. The Sunday morning service begins with a musical prelude and welcome from the pastor. The worship service starts with a hymn of praise followed by prayer of confessions, greeting one another, children’s story, scriptural readings, and sermon. After the service, we gather for Fellowship and light refreshments. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and special liturgical occasions.

Childcare is available during service.

Are there any classes for my children during the service?
Yes. Following Children’s Time during the 9:30 a.m. worship service, children through 2nd grade may be escorted to Enrichment Time.  Sunday School for children and Christian education for adults runs from 11am-12pm.
