Music

Church choirs provide a unique opportunity to express our faith through music. Participation in church music increases our sense of community, deepens our faith, and connects us more fully to the life of the church. All are welcome in the music ministry at Ewing, regardless of experience or skill level. ECPC has a long tradition of supporting a strong and vibrant music program – and the only requirement for joining is enthusiasm! Church and community members alike are invited to join us as we praise the Lord with music.

Please contact Carol Houghton, Director of Music (houghton.carol@gmail.com), if you would like to join or get more information!

Our musical opportunities include:

Sanctuary Choir: High school through Adult. This choir sings every week during worship and provides special music during Advent and Lent. No audition is necessary, just a love of music and fellowship. While firmly rooted in the classical music tradition, this ensemble performs music of many genres, including contemporary and world music.  Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Ewing Covenant Bell Choir: We have a talented and enthusiastic bell choir that provides a special musical resource for worship. The choir meets weekly and rings  monthly. Some bell/musical experience is preferred for this group.  Rehearsals are held at ECPC on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
